Overview
A production accumulates hundreds of assets, each with a licence permitting some uses and not others. The failures are boring and expensive: music licensed for web in a broadcast cut, stock licensed for one campaign reused in the next, a font licensed for print embedded in an app, a contributor whose release covers the film and not the trailer.
This agent reads the licences and releases in your knowledge base and checks each asset against the use you actually intend — the media, the territory, the term, the number of impressions or the edit. It reports what is covered, what is not, and what you hold no document for at all.
The distinction it holds is between an asset that is cleared, one whose licence does not stretch to this use, and one nobody can find a licence for. The third is the dangerous category, because an asset with no paperwork looks identical to a cleared one in every asset manager. It gives no legal opinion and clears nothing — it produces the list a rights manager works.

Is this legal advice?
No. It compares the licences you hold against the use you describe and reports gaps. Whether a use is permitted can turn on wording, jurisdiction and industry practice, and it routes those rather than deciding them.
Can it clear an asset?
No. It reports coverage and gaps. Clearance is a decision with legal and financial consequences and belongs to a person.
What if we cannot find a licence?
It reports the asset as having no document, which is the most important finding it produces. An unlicensed asset is indistinguishable from a cleared one until someone sends a claim.
